Pool Table – Games room, poolside fun

FULL SIZED POOL TABLE

Situated on the pool deck, Villa Oriole's games room boasts a full sized bar pool table along with pool balls and assorted cues. Brightly decorated in yellows and reds with contemporary artworks it is a perfect sanctuary, with its air conditioning, from the midday heat yet still amid the action at the side of the luxury swimming pool. Take a few chilled beers in and challenge your friends to a few games without having to dig deep in your swimming costume for coins. Safely leave the older children in there to perfect their skills whilst you enjoy your swim or simply flop down for a good read or game of cards in the cool for an hour or so. At nightime the room is brightly lit and only a few metres from the swimming pool so the party can stretch across the sundeck, you play while those waiting can take advantage of a midnight swim or enjoy the comforts  and contents of the poolside bar.

Billiards aka Pool has a long and rich history beginning as far back as the 15th century, beginning as a lawn game similar to croquet... hence the familiar green 'baize' or cloth designed to simulate grass... here at Villa Oriole we have ignored tradition. Firstly by moving the game into its, previously mentioned, lovely air conditioned environment and swapped the green for a lovely deep, rich red. Simply because its far more comfortable and the colour is much funkier but, if you have never played pool before (really?) then perhaps you might want to follow the rules and read up on the strategies before you arrive:
